UPDATE: Hex-Smasher 1.02

3 Extra Lives added, lives counter on screen, extras lives reset to 3 when you beat a level.

My version of the classic Blockbreaker/Arkanoid game, created using Udemy's "Learn to Code by Making Games - The Complete Unity Developer" course.

I changed the blocks to long, medium and short Hexagons, each can take either 1, 2 or 3 hits. The extra angles add a ew level of randomness to the bounces making the game much tougher.

At present there are 5 playable levels. I am trying to write the correct code to give the player 3 lives, losing a life means the player will retain the progress they have achieved in each level (i.e. blocks destroyed or cracked will remain destroyed). There will also be 3 continues, these allow the player to restart the level with 3 lives.

I understand through vigorous play-testing that this game is very hard and it can occasionally descend into a boring play-loop trying to hit the last Hex. I hope to fix this in the next iteration too.

I created simple backgrounds based on some 8-bit and 16-bit style art i found online.

Thanks for playing my game, bear in mind this is my first ever game, and until about a week ago I had no idea how to write a line of code by myself. Please leave any constructive citicism here:
